The Internet and every form of social media was a blaze with a rumor of a possible ‘FRIENDS’ reunion earlier this week. However, co-creator Marta Kauffman has put the rumors to rest, saying a reunion on the small screen or movie screen for that matter, will never happen.

Kauffman had the following statement for E! News regarding the matter:

“I’m going to clear this up—it’s not happening!” she said at last night’s red carpet screening of Call Me Crazy, Lifetime’s movie about mental illness premiering on the network on April 20. Kauffman also said a movie reunion will never happen. “Friends was about that time in your life when your friends are your family and once you have a family, there’s no need anymore.”

This news may be bitter sweet for ‘FRIENDS’ fans but at least true fans can always re-live the hilarity with the gang on DVD and Blu-Ray. Plus, the show ended perfectly with story lines for all the characters wrapping up nicely, which gave the viewers a sense of closure. Why would you want to mess with such a good thing?

  1. The hoax is hilarious, it actually convinced me for a few hours yesterday as so many of my friends were excitedly posting about it.
Great blog. Brilliant title you gave this particular posting (yes I caught the cleverness 🙂
I happen to write a movie blog I’m quite proud of, I’d be honored if you checked it out:

Either way, looking forward to reading!
