Jimmy Fallon vs. Montreal Canadiens: The Twitter Bet

Fallon:Canadiens

Stanley Cup fever is definitely in the air and whether or not your favourite team is part of this year’s Stanley Cup Playoffs, the fever can be felt, and you don’t have to look too far for proof.

‘SNL’ alumni and ‘Tonight Show’ host Jimmy Fallon’s beloved New York Rangers have moved on to the Conference Finals, and their opponents? None other than one of the original six teams of the NHL, the Montreal Canadiens. A friendly wager has taken place between the late night host, and the hockey franchise. The wager is simple, but the after effects are going to be glorious and hilarious in every way possible. The bet went down on Twitter, right before the start of the series.

As per the tweets below, the deal is simple, yet impactful. If the Rangers win the series, Jimmy Fallon’s face will be the new avatar for the Montreal Canadiens twitter account (for a day) and if Montreal wins the series, Jimmy has to wear the Montreal Canadiens jersey for a monologue.

Fallon/Canadiens Bet

Who do you want to see win this bet? Not going to lie, how awesome would it be to see Jimmy Fallon perform an open monologue in a Canadiens jersey!

One thing is for sure, Fallon is always up for a good time. It will be interesting to see what happens and how this all unfolds!
